Curious Space is an ambitious creative studio of storytellers and consultants, specialising in interdisciplinary projects which tell stories with space. Leading into a new direction, the practice needed a refreshed identity and website, which truly represented their beliefs as a design practice within the cultural sector.

Curious Space’s new website uses immersive, gallery-like layouts, alongside subtle and purposeful typography. The user experience is refined to create a measured sense of pace that celebrates the studio’s portfolio; bringing together beautiful imagery alongside informative, yet concise project texts.

The studio information overlays are inspired by exhibition panels, with the project pages reading as though spreads in a book, borrowing from conventions associated with editorial design.

In exploring the essence of Curious Space’s visual identity, as well as how their tone of voice and storytelling manifests and lives, we selected Lemur, a geometric sans-serif typeface, designed by Tightype, that combines playful touches of humanity with distinctive forms and details — an ownable way to bring their stories to life.
